Winged thing flying in a circle
Asymmetrical and broken.
No where to go,
No where to fly.
Stationed on a black post,
Anchored down and
Longing to fly free.
To have wings;
Wings to fly,
and one is missing.
A half is
Not whole.
Missing and
Empty.
Wood,
Plastic and
Yarn make this
Winged thing.
One side gone,
The other tied down,
straying far
from its purpose.
Desperate and
Longing to be set free.
I too,
Know the feeling
Well.

Well, this is the other piece that I wrote at Aquinas. I thought I'd put it on here, just because I had nothing better to do with my time. So, there's nothing really behind this, except a few things. Like the class that I took for this was Poetry About Art. It was actually a lot more fun than it sounds. We had an awesome instructor and we spent the whole time writing and talking. It was a smaller class, so the professor spent more time working on revising our poems. So, we had to pick a piece of art work that we liked and write about that. The pieces ranged from 3D art, to photography, to still life. I chose a 3D piece that was one pink, plastic wrap and string. It was really good and I could kind of feel the energy that was flowing from it. The model was made by a student that attends Aquinas, he is a sophmore this year. His name is Jackson D. Botsford. And I'm sure that once I get the photo of the art that I took, that I'll put it up here.
